1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using RefFlow (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Cardoso Events, a business registered in Jersey (JOIC No. 103572) trading as RefFlow (“we”, “us”, “our”).
2. Description of service
RefFlow is a referee management platform designed for football associations, leagues, and referee societies operating in the United Kingdom. The Service enables organisations to:
- Import and manage fixture schedules.
- Appoint and communicate with match officials.
- Track referee availability, grades, and match history.
- Send automated appointment confirmations and reminders.
RefFlow is a business-to-business (B2B) platform. Accounts are issued to organisations and their authorised administrators, not to individual consumers.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately via our contact page if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. User responsibilities
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
- Upload or transmit content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you import or enter into the Service, including fixture data, referee details, and contact information.
5. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Service — including software, design, trademarks, and documentation — belongs to Cardoso Events or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. You retain ownership of data you upload to the Service.
6. Availability and modifications
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice. We will endeavour to give at least 30 days’ notice for material changes that affect your workflow.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardoso Events shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
- Any failure caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including network outages, third-party service failures, or acts of God.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you to RefFlow in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £500, whichever is greater.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
